Murdered: Danydia Thompson of Killeen, TX - 1997
After saying her last words, “I love you,” 7-year-old Danydia Thompson was last seen on April 30, 1997, on her way to Marlboro Elementary School in Killeen, Texas. Witnesses stated that she was walking away from the school area with an adult Black Male. Shortly after, she was seen riding piggyback on the man at the intersection of Veteran’s Memorial Blvd. and Jefferies Ave, also in Killeen, not far from the school. After eight days of searching, including my mother, who volunteered, her tiny body was found in a trash bag on the side of Hwy 195 just outside of Killeen. Law enforcement does not believe the family was involved and has a possible suspect but does not want to get the family's hopes up. This case remains a mystery.
